Screen Shot 2013-03-03 at 2.23.55 PMProject Amy is a new plugin that is developed by Steve Streza (Who is the Lead Platform Developer over at Pocket). The tool which was unveiled at #ADNHackathon integrates App.net Private Messaging service with the Messages app on OS X.

Here’s how you can get it now –

  • Click here to download Project Amy
  • Once the installer has been downloaded, simply run it.
  • Once it is installed, Run the Messages app

Project Amy seems to support Patter Rooms. The room’s I am a member of automatically opened up as soon as I set up my App.net account in Messages. From what I know, it also lets users send certain files using App.net’s file storage. I was able to send text messages, photo attachments and was able to post to Patter rooms in my tests.
